It Made My Dick Curve

Ladies and Fireballs-what? He's the only male of the species who lurks around here.

Alright, for those who are unaccustomed to my eccentricities (don't say a word Kitty, or the "Dutch oven" won't just be a bad memory from your youth), I am what would best be described as a "Jewish Momma's Boy." For those who are unaware of the implications of "Jewish Momma's Boy" let me break it down for you nice and simple: It's not obsessive compulsive disorder, it's simply growing up with a Jewish momma. Now, I have been parentless for a while and motherless for a longer while, but that shit gets so instilled in you that I'm almost certain being insanely neat and orderly is genetic amongst we tribes people. If you don't believe me, go on over to Kitty's house and move anything a quarter inch to the left or right, and watch her walk in and go absolutely insane trying to figure out why things look so fucking wrong. Really, try it! It's fun!

I bring up my "Jewish Momma's Boy" syndrome for the single purpose that The Learning Curve is absolute heaven to my little eyes. I'd almost venture and guess that Muckdog, like me, is an engineer of sorts. Everything is so neat, organized, and well planned that I seriously might bust a nut just looking at it. It's a smorgasbord of tech-geek awesomeness, which makes me almost want to hunt him down and find him just so I can hug him, give him a manly smooch on the lips, and then kick him in the nuts for not rolling up those goddamn archives. C'mon man! You allow the reader to choose whether the links open in a new window or the current window, but you can't make your archives into a drop down menu?

The content adds to the smorgasbord of tech-geek awesomeness, with a dash of financial and political commentary. It's one of those link fest blogs-you know, the ones that kind of rehash things and then give you the link for the actual info, but he does it in a way that shows a bit of his own personality, and is often humorous. I personally love it, but I can see how it's not for everyone.

Well dude. , in the most manly, non-homosexual, lets go grab a beer and hit up the strip club kind of way.

Oh, and you get a for leaving a drop down archive menu out of your tech-geeky mix. That can be taken care of easily should you save me a Snickers, though.

  1. Thanks for the review. And you're right about lacking the drop-down. Very lame. It's officially at the top of the enhancement queue.

  3. It's true. He once moved a metal statute I have on my mantle an entire half inch over to the left, and when I walked into the room I went absolutely insane trying to figure why something felt so insanely off.

I can totally see why you like this blog GNVP. Totally. It's not for me, though. Like I said yesterday, if you're a daily read then your life is way more of a train wreck than my own, oh! And you probably get laid, too.

  4. I guess if I cared about monetary issues more than I do (and I realize I *should* care), I might check him out. Seems a little dry for my tastes, but there you go. I'm sure he's got an appeal to someone, it's just not me.

  5. Nice looking template, well organized, easy to read. But do I want to read it? Well, some of it. But when I see numbers my mind goes brrrzzzzppppttt.

  6. I can't really see him appealing to anyone outside of those individuals with a ferocious business mindset, or that works in a setting where business, politics, and stocks are all crucial.

I work in that kind of setting so naturally I'm all over it like a Jewish kid on his dreidle money.

  7. Eh. Not so much.

No promiscuous sex, no drugs, no rock & roll. I give it a thumbs down.

GNVP, I am now starting to question your heterosexuality.

  8. I'm an engineer. I like things streamlined, well planned, organized, and to the point. What can I say? If it was a personal blog I'd probably rip him a new asshole, but it's not. For the style of blog it is, I think it's perfection.

  9. I think that explains why I don't date engineers. I'm not linear at all, I'm chaos personified.

  10. I'm a total glutton for chaos, too. But, I'm also a total neat freak so I can appreciate his template.
