Oh, Right...Reviews

It's been kind of an ugly end to the week for yer ol' buddy, AF. I just re-entered US airspace, and suddenly realized it was my turn to do a review. So here we go.

From Unlucky Swami to Vulgar Wizard in 0.4 Seconds is today's entry. Standard Blogger brown template, which personally, I can't stand. She's modified the header image to something almost equally as brown, so this blog is just very...brown. The header image conflicts with her description of herself in Firefox, but not in IE.

The content is funny and snarky, so I immediately like it. She's rolled up her blogroll and links. I swear, I'd almost rather see her have this on the black template than the brown one, just because I hate the brown one so much. She's involved with something called Talkies Tuesdays, which apparently is yet another cult of "do something on this day" blogging. Not a huge fan, but it certainly makes for automatic posts when there's nothing else to talk about.

She doesn't have her archives or recent posts rolled up, but again, the sidebar isn't massive so I won't take off points here. She also keeps the posts to a minimum on the front page, so more kudos there. A couple of meme's on the front page make me cringe a bit, because she's funny and I'd like to read more of HER.

Okay, so I'm a bit pressed for time as we're nearing the time when I must claim my bags. So, how does this blog rate?

for the template, because I hate it, and for having two meme's on the front page. More you, please.

for the content, which I really like.

Again, not to pimp, but see Nello for template help. See you all back on the ground.

  2. I think she's made some adjustments to her template since this review, but I didn't find them helpful. There are way too many busy little things on the sidebar for my taste, and I counted 3 memes in a quick scroll down. She is snarky and funny, but this blog needs work on substance.
