Dear Manager Mom:

Your review is coming, I promise. But, as a mom, I suspect you will understand when I say that the need to spend my day off with my son has preempted your regularly scheduled review. It will be up this afternoon or evening.

My apologies for keeping you on tenterhooks any longer than required.

  1. Hope everything is okay. I obviously don't have kids but being the son of my mother I have something of an idea how things can be :)

  2. I love the word tenterhooks.

    That is all.

  3. Dear Love Bites:

I totally understand where you're coming from. I hope the day off is a fun one, and not one that was unscheduled and driven by the ejection of some sort of bodily fluid.

If I ever get another day off again, I am going to try to spend it with my children, as The Girl last night accused me of loving my computer more than I love her.

    Manipulative little beyotch.

And since I've been insanely busy the past two weeks, barely surviving on sleep fumes and Red Bull, my blog postings of late have been a mixed bag, ranging from the "steaming pile of crap" to the "thank God my daughter wrote a funny note and gave me a freebie" varieties.

Hope that the slack cuts both ways. If not, that's why I'm not quitting my day job.

  5. I've a soft spot for slackers myself. I excel at slacking.
